A new series of time-based works has been added to the site. Based loosely on earlier work inspired by the periodic tiling patterns explored by a 17th century Dominican monk, Sebastien Truchet, each work is high definition (1080 x 1920, 30 fps) and a 12-minute seamless loop.
The works: 2007.1a, 2007.1b, 2007.1c, 2007.1d and 2007.2a (shown here).

1 January 2007 | Web site update: A new look for a new year
As the tenth anniversary of this web site approaches (October 2007) and a new year begins, it was time for a new design. Many a cobweb was cleared, along with quite a few 10-year old GIFs.
On the Information: Introduction page, a brief video with commentary introduces some of the fundamental concepts behind this work.
For well over 20 years, photography has been an important part of Ken’s creative practice, albeit behind the scenes as a reference tool. Works: Photo-based includes a small sampling of some recent photographs. Expect much more in the near future. |

26 February 2005 | New work
Working with the geometry and materials of the Alias Maya 6 image, I created this new work. The print size for a single-panel chromogenic print is 60 by 90 inches.
Fine details of color and texture are hallmarks of my work. In order to better represent this important aspect of my creative practice, I will be increasing the number of detail images shown on the web site for new works and this is the first example. |

I am grateful for the company’s commitment to my work.

29 September 2004 | Web site update
Many times in the body of work, elements have carried forward from one work to another. Other times two or more images are very closely related (beyond what was previously shown using the Work Groups). When either of these cases hold true, those connections are now illustrated with a given work. Scroll toward the bottom of the page for 2003.1a to the “Closely-related works” section to see examples of these connections. Not every work has them and I don’t think that I caught them all (it sometimes involved delving back ten years in my memory), but I will add more as they make themselves known to me.
Also, the works from the Encoding with Prime Factors series have been integrated into the main body of work, which means they now appear in Work Groups.
All of these changes came about as a result of preparations to integrate sculptural and time-based works into the site (hint, hint)... |
